Archaeology Dig 2023
We will once again be digging along SD Highway 34 in the “Soap Suds Row” area, where Army laundress housing once stood.
Archeologists will be on site Saturday, Sept 2, through Sunday, Sept 10, roughly 8am to 4pm, depending on weather. Further processing, cleaning, and documentation will be at the Lamphere Ranch Campground nearby.
All are welcome to stop by and visit either location! If you’d like to volunteer, we’d prefer a minimum 3-day commitment, all abilities welcome. Contact Dr. Linea Sundstrom at linea.sundstrom@gmail.com.
